Deep Foundation Institute (USA), Indian Institute of Technology, Madras and Indian Geotechnical Society, Chennai Chapter, jointly organised the DFI India Conference 2012 during 17-20 September 2012 in IIT Madras, India. 260 delegates including 25 speakers registered for the conference and 242 of them attended the conference. Eighty four delegates participated in the pre-conference workshop, while 42 members joined the site visit to one of the tunneling sites and diaphragm wall sites of Chennai metro construction site.
